Combining Benefits of Yoga with a Mental Health Focus

Yoga Therapy is a dynamic expression of combining Yoga philosophy and the physical practice with my focus on a person's well being. Together we will explore your experience of learning to find ease within your mental health through physical movement , focused breath within larger context of Yoga philosophy. We will engage in breath exercises, creating sound as we move deeper into healing your current state of dysregulation.
My Personal Journey with Yoga
I have found Yoga to be so beneficial to my own well being as well as allowing me to be my best self for others.
I received training from Sarajoy Yoga and am registered with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. I enjoy bringing the philosophy and Wisdom of the Yoga tradition while gaining a deeper understanding of ones own somatic experience.
What to Expect from a Yoga Therapy Session with Me
Together we will create your therapy sessions designed uniquely for you, your Body, your Mind and your Spirit. We begin with an assessment of your current Strengths and Struggles discovering where you would like to focus to bring balance and clarity to your life and daily routine. We will create an hour long practice with breath exercises, meditation, physical postures, while weaving in aspects of you and your mental health journey ending with relaxation and recalibration. We will also incorporate other modalities such as art and sand tray as well as traditional talk therapy to further assist you on your healing journey.
Yoga Therapy can be effective with adults, children and families to increase healthy well being for the individual as well as the entire family unit.
We can set up a free 15 minute consultation to discuss if Yoga Therapy would be a good fit for you or your family. You can book a package of sessions for yourself or for your family.
Combining Yoga and Mental Health
Yoga therapy can be a complementary practice for a person who wants to be the best version of themselves and a person struggling with a mental health condition , such as depression, anxiety or experiencing trauma. Most of us are living in a stressful environment and Yoga therapy gives one an opportunity to not only reduce stress in that moment , but can learn tools to implement into a daily practice reducing stress and improving one's quality of life. These tools can also be used as healthy coping skills in dealing with daily struggles with anxiety, depression and traum
